Leesa grew up in a small city in Germany with her parents. Her father, a Houndoom from America, had traveled to Germany to study under his mentor to work with magical creatures. It was on one of his first nights in Germany that he met a young dancer girl, a Zoroa.

Eventually they had a little girl, much to her mother's delight. As soon as the girl was able, she was enrolled in ballet classes. To her father's discontent, they had a little girl. So, instead of letting the young Leesa play with dolls and the normal little girl things, he took Leesa to work with him. Leesa quickly found that mud was more fun than dancing around in a pink leotard. Though, for her mother's sake she continued the lessons, skipping out sometimes to join her father with the creatures.

When Leesa turned 13, she was enrolled in one of the select few schools for magic, where she mainly focused on Care of Magical Creatures and found a slight intrigue for Divination. The years flew by, and she mainly kept to herself, only making a select few friends which she still keeps in contact.
